Roaccutane

by karolek, Nov 03, 2009 07:01PM
Hi,
I've been on roaccutane for three months and my skin condition is still getting worse rather than better. I'm begining to feel worried that it won't improve.
The worst is that my entire forehead and the sides of my face are covered in tiny lumps that are skin coloured. some flare up and go red, others don't budge. the rest of my face is getting massive flare-ups, which remain as red patches or hard lumps under the skin once they go down.

I weigh approx 65kg, and the dermatologist started me on 20mg a day for the first month. i've upped this dosage to 40mg a day - which i have ben taking for two months now. my entire course is meant to last seven months.

has anyone else had to wait so long to see any results? im scared it's just making my face worse, and that it won't help. more so, that my sister's has completely clreared and we started at roughly the same time.

thanks,
karol

Like I've said to others before, I do not like the use of drugs for the treatment of acne. I use Zero Zitz Emergency Power. I also suggest Zero Zitz Original Astringent and Zero Zitz Kreamy Kleanser. Using these three products, you will see a huge improvement. I did. I buy it online from www.myvitanet.com because you usually can't find it in most stores. Another product I like is Queen Helene`s Mint Julep Mask, which you can get from drugstore.com. I also use the NG Acne Treatment System, which is wonderful. You can find it at www.zenmed.com All of these products are all-natural and work wonderfully. I use the NG Acne Spot Corrector for sudden blemishes, and they are gone within 24 hours. You can get that at www.veganstore.com Also, if you drink or eat anything with milk in it, you will have more acne.

Hello,

You can read my Accutane journal. I had this problem and its actually still continuing. I was on Accutane for 6 months and Im going on my second course in 30 days. Some people take longer to clear- this is normal. Also the strength of accutane. I was on mid strength almost the whole time- started at 60mg and moved to 70mg and finally 80 mg. At 80 mg my face completely cleared, but then my time was up. i got taken off and I started Differin. My face is still having mild break outs. Im going on round two and hoping this will be it. Keep the faith, Everyone is different

PS- you are not allowed to use these products that "karolek" recommended while on Accutane. stick with Cetaphil lotion and cleanser.
