Take your medicine exactly as your doctor told you, do not change the dose without their approval as it was tailored to suit you, given your weight, severity of acne and other health conditions. It is usual for acne to become worse at the start of treatment. Within about 12 weeks you'll develop no new lesions and within roughly 16 weeks your skin should be clear so be patient. loiloi xx

Just remember that it will get worse before it gets better. Also, I have been on accutane two times, and I am about your weight. I started at 40 mg/day and then 80 mg/day starting the second month, and continuing on for the rest. I think you are pretty underdosed. My doctor said that I could even take up to 120 mg/day, technically, although thats a pretty large dose, but for your weight, I think you are highly underdosed. 20 mg every other day or 10mg/day is like nothing. You do have to build up your doses, but I would try to go up to at LEAST 40 if I were you. I was on 80 and still breaking out a little. Hope that helps. P.S. I just want to let you know that although accutane works, don't get your hopes up too much because for a lot of people, the acne comes back. But your skin will be A LOT better when you are done. Just keep your head up!
