Scalp spots

My daughter is 6, tonight I noticed that she had little black spots on her scalp all on the crown of her head. They are imbedded in the scalp if you take your finger nail, with some effort you can scrape them off, but it does hurt. At first I thought it might be lice but several neighbors who were familiar with lice said that there were too many, different sizes, and literally attached to the scalp rather that seeds in the hair folicles.  It does not itch.

Try deep scalping her hair with a really good wash to see if it does the trick, if the black dots return go to a dermatologist.
