Sudden Acne 36 yr old female

by SPSAustin, Oct 15, 2007 04:29PM
I recently started to experience acne on my shoulders, back and neck/jaw. I didn't experience very bad acne as a teen so this is very disturbing as an adult. I haven't made any major laundry, soap or any other types of changes. The only major change is that I quite smoking in January and this began in June. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hi this is Loiloi and i'm 31. You'll see my name all over the forum as i'm on a mission today to help other people as i know how horrible acne is! do not ignore the problem as acne can scar. Ask your GP for a course of oral antibiotics and a topical lotion such as differin. If you're on a progesterone only pill this can make acne worse so switch to one with estrogen in like dianette or yasmin. Good luck xx ps smoking is bad for your skin lol!
