Sudden Acne

Usually, I have little acne breakouts and my skin is usually fine. A pimple or two during my period,
but never anything to make me worry. Recently though, I've  broken out all over my left cheek and a
little on my forehead, no where else. This started around exam time but some time has passed now and they're still there. I drink plenty of water and eat regularly. Although the acne right now not big and red, there are still little bumps and a lot of redness where the zits once were. Is there anything I can do to help clear this up quicker?

Ask your doctor for Duac gel (clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide) or Differin (adapalene). If you are not able to access prescription medicines try Freederm (nicotinamide) which can be bought without a prescription.
Women with hormonal acne will benefit from taking the combined contraceptive pill as oestrogen blocks the action of androgens- the hormones responsible for acne. Avoid the mini-pill, depot shot and hormonal IUD, all of which can make acne worse.
