I know as a general rule when on roaccutane you shouldn't take vitamins etc but is it ok to take things like whey protein for working out at the gym? it doesnt contain vitamin A although it does have other things in which exceed the RDA..anyone please?

The main things which are contra-indicated during accutane therapy are tetracycline antibiotics and vitamin A. Other vitamins will not interact with your medicine but do remember that taking doses above the RDA is undesirable unless you are deficiant in a certain vitamin. Most vitamins will leave the body when you urinate so taking an excess dose is a waste of money. Others will be stored by the body and excess doses may be toxic. Accutane may also cause joint and muscle aches so excerise with caution if this affects you. Loiloi xx
