Type 2 Diabeties & Acne

by Francoise912, May 13, 2009 10:30AM
Dr please advise I was diagnosed wtih Diabeties Type 2 and have lost 100 pounds and have broken out in HORRIBLE acne. It is on my face and shoulder in clusters and very painful. Its progressively gotten worse now I feel its improving I am on Retin-A & Docy 100 mg, I wash and clean my face 2-3 times daily. I have Lustra but I dont think my skin is ready for it yet. Its now healing but still its VERY slow.  Is this normal I have enjoyed good skin for years I am 38 years old and look like a teenager with a face full of acne. What should I do and what regime do you suggest to patients? Last are there links to acne with type 2?   THank you!!
