Unusual curved fingertips and vertical brown streaks under the nail

My age is 29 years. My hand nails are giving rounded appearance similar to back of a teaspoon. This curved nail appearance is increasing now. Also there was one vertical brown streak under my one nail. Now i have noticed that same light brown streaks are appearing in my all nails. I am very upset due to this. Is this serious disease. I am from India, please help me to let me know the medicine for this. If you want i can send the snaps of my nails. Looking for reply from your side.

Hi there!

Well, the spoon like curvature is known as clubbing in medical terms and along with streaking could occur due to a few systemic conditions and micronutrient deficiencies. Assuming there are no other symptoms, a whole body evaluation may be required to identify a primary cause. I would suggest considering an initial evaluation by a primary care physician or an internist and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
