I am suppose to be finishing accutane at the end of february '09. I just came from my monthly check up because I still have cyst and acne. I have seen no improvement what so ever and the doctor said she wants to keep me on accutane a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys longer. My question is what do I do if accutane does not work, what would be my next step?
Hi. 80% of Accutane patients achieve a long term remission from acne after just one course lasting 16 to 24 weeks. 20% of patients, including myself, need a second or third course.
Further use of Accutane remains your best hope of a long term remission from acne. It has been proven to be more effective than other standard treatments.
Be patient and follow your doctors advice.
