What is it and how do I get rid of it?

I've had a red spot on my nose for so long now. It's been more than half a year, I think. It is on the center of my nose. It is dark pink, I have a light brownish skin tone. It's about half a centimeter wide. It's not a bump. It looks like a small mosquito bite because the center of it has a dot like it was poked with a pin. That part is the darkest red. I've tried poking it and it would turn bigger but as time progressed, it just turned back into the size it is now. I've also tried acne pimple spot treatment but that doesn't seem to help at all. I would really like to know what this is and how to get rid of it.
