What should I do about breakouts post-accutane?

by marissa26, May 03, 2009 07:20PM
I finished my accutane treatment last August and my skin was completely cleared.
In the past few weeks, I've been experiencing mild acne (probably partly due to stress and the time of the month).  It is not as bad as it was before accutane but it still makes me really upset since it was great having clear skin!  I know it might go away in the next few weeks but i'm afraid that it might just continue to get worse and worse.

What should I do?  Should I make an appointment with my dermatologist and go back on the medication?  If would just be horrible having to deal with all of its side effects for a second time!

Thanks - hopefully someone can help me out.

Hi! I haven't finished my first session of accutane yet, (you're right. the side affects ARE horrible) but I would probably just try and keep it at bay. BUT if you want to be REALLY safe, I might try an dermatologist ....

Whatever fits you. I hope your skin stays clear!
