Will it ever stop?

Will it ever stop?

I'm 22 now and am still suffering from really bad acne on my face chest and back.  I have scars everywhere.  I have tried over the counter and prescription treatments... I have tried changing my diet, and nothing makes it stop...

Help?

you may want to try washing your skin with grapefruit seed extraxt which can be purchased at amazon. i also found the Avon Clearskin Correct & Fade Peel Acne Treatment (helped my scars tremendiously) and the Clearskin Cleansing pads work really well (fairly inexpensive). tea tree oil may also help. i have tried everything under the sun from over the counter to percription. you really just have to try try try until you find stuff that works.

I've been struggling with my skin for years and about 6 years ago I started using Yasmin for that and it worked great, mostly, except for VERY dry skin in winter and occasionally my skin would flare up for a bit then calm down again...

BUT for the majority of last year I just could not win, no matter what I did or used, so I decided to stop using Yasmin and started taking a supplement called "Zinplex Forte" ... within about 3 weeks or so I could already see an improvement.  It's now about 3 months later and my skin is pretty good, still the odd pimple, but nothing major, I really think this has helped and without having to use creams or lotions that make my skin peel, itch, cause even more oiliness, etc.

Hi.
There is a lack of medical evidence that diet is linked to acne. Acne is caused by a sensitivity to the effects of hormones called Androgens. Androgens stimulate the sebaceous glands which leads to oily skin. Bacteria on the skin feed off this oil, blocking the pores and leading to spots.
Over the counter remedies are of limited benefit. You don't say which prescription medications you have tried. The usual starting point is a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline and a topical retinoid such as Differin. This regime should be followed for 3-4 months before considering trying a different antibiotic (Erythromycin or Lymecycline) and a stronger topical gel like Retin-a.
Female acne patients may also benefit from taking an anti-androgen contraceptive pill such as Yasmin. The oestrogen and anti-androgen that Yasmin contains blocks the effect of androgens on the skin.
If a fair trial of the above medicines results in failure or relapse, your GP may refer you to a dermatologist for Oral Isotretinoin (formerly branded as Accutane) -the strongest acne treatment available.
Best Wishes, Eloise.

Hi
Are you still using the Zinplex and have you tried any of their facial products. Has your skin improved more? Also did you have marks or scars which has lightened or gone away?
Regards: Gizmo

i've had facial acne for abot 4 years now, im 17 and acne is ruining my life, its stressfull, emotionaly painfull and very confusing. i look at pictures of me before i had acne and my skin was perfect - you couldnt see a spot anywhere but now my face is coverd in spots, little scars and red marks. i've tried MANY products hoping that it will cure my acne but nothing has worked. i have to watch what i eat now and cant eat as a normall teenager would also this has led me into lossing alot of weight and becoming really skiny. its really embarrassing for me i cant talk to someone face to face.
acne has completely ruined my young teenage life its the first thing on my mind when i wake up in the morning and the last before i go sleep. i have never herd of acne completely stopping for anyone and ask IS IT REALLY AND TRULY POSSIBLE FOR ACNE TO STOP COMPLETLY ad will i suffer from this horrid disease all my life
