Worry about penis

I am a 25 yr old male. About 3am this morning I woke up and noticed a little pain, so I checked it out, and it turns out there is a reddish colored hard bump toward the base of my penis.. It hurts to touch. I also recently noticed a lot of small lighter skin colored dots on the base of my penis and on the scrotum where the hair grows, so I looked and found a picture online of a similar looking thing.. that was called Fordyce's spots.. which was explained to be harmless. So this reddish bump.. My first thought was a boil or some kind of hair follicle thing... but then, of course, I have to check it out online.. and that just freaked me out! My girlfriend is an RN and i had her look at it too, and her first reaction was a pimple, and she said to maybe try and pop it.. So I did, and it was hard to do... maybe it wasnt quite ready to be popped... I did get a clearish liquid and blood to come out of it. It is Saturday, and my doctor's office is obviously closed. I get very freaked out about these kinds of things. I am probably dumb for worrying soo much, but ya never know I guess. Also I have slept with only two women in my life.. One of which I am with now I have been with her for almost two years, so I would hope that would definitely rule out an STD. I am very careful about those kinds of things. I guess my question is.. What could this be? Are my instincts correct?
