accutane and hair loss

I am concerned that 6 months following accutane I am noticing severe hair thinning/loss and dryness of my hair. I am also noticing that my nails are thinning. I thought the side effects should subside by now, but they are just starting to manifest themselves.. I am very worried about lossing my hair from the dryness. ( I think the scalp is dry) and my nails I just noticed to day when I trimmed them back instead the usual filing. What can I do. Please help. To all those out there accutane is scary stuff. Please try everything else before taking this medication.
