Dear Doc,
Since age 16 I have acne vulgaris now i'm in my 20's. Went to the doc he prescribed solugel,cleocine T. Solugel is harsh, Cleocin T does nothing. Now I see my that my face is discoloured around my nose and under my eyes I look like santa in the tropics. What can you recommend that I could use to get rid of it? also what other over the counter medication can you recommend. I was told that my face is sensitive. I also have facial hair problem under my chin area what can I do apart from electrolysis and lazer is there a product i can use that prevent hair growth. The problem with tweezing and shaving is that when hair grows back it does not grow straight to the surface it grows side ways under the skin and makes my skin sore what should I do help help! your response would be most appreciated bye

Hi. Talk to your doctor about taking an anti-androgen contraceptive pill called Diane35 (Dianette in the UK). Androgens are the hormones responsible for acne and unfeminine facial hair. This is a very effective treatment and, unlike topical lotions, will not irritate your sensitive skin. I take Dianette if you would like to talk about it.
