acne during period

I have comedones for few years now, i started to get it treated a few month ago and it is much better now, however, i realized that my acne will severe much more during my period time compared to usual days where i get near smooth skin which included everyday cleansing and applying acne creme. The difference is really really huge. Is there a way that i can control my acne during my period time? or lessen it?
