Hi Rida,

I  have been doing a lot of research on the Internet because I have been experiencing the same thing as you.  I can't even sleep b/c the itchiness is so unbearable.

Anyway, if they look like tiny hairs that is surrounded by pus or just red bump. You could be experiencing Folliculitis.  The last time I went to the doctor I failed to mention that my pimples on my forehead were very itchy almost feels like ants crawling under your skin.

Did you scratch off those little pimples? The one thing I regret was scratching them off b/c they actually can turn into Follicultis which can lead to cystic acne or nodular cystic acne.  When you scratch or put any pressure on it, it will become more inflamed and infected.  I used the Clinique toner/ exfoliator and it had alcohol which literally burned through my skin.  I thought I could exfoliate these little pimples with this toner, but it made it worse!  Do not use anything with alcohol at this point, b/c it will only make it worse, and your skin is sensitive.

Benzoyle peroxide can actually do more harm then good too.  It can multiply the bacteria.  I have found this.  I used the tea tree oil and my skin became resistant and started to produce all this dead skin. I would recommend it to use only  to dab on when the skin has broken so that you're not getting bacteria anywhere else.

Whatever you do, do not squeeze these b/c the infection can go deeper. My infection went deep into my skin and I had to go on antibiotics (Minocin). I took it for 5 days and my body couldn't handle it, and my GP said it can induce Lupus and other diseases. It reduced the swelling, but the pimples came back.    If they are really painful, you should get an antibiotic to reduce the swelling, and then work on the existing pimples. I have to let you know that Minocin made my pimple scars purple, so if you can get anything that will  not discolor your skin, do that.

In the meantime, what I have been using is salycilic acid 2.5% Clinique wash on my face to kill the bacteria and to exfoliate the skin (or any antibacterial soap like Dial) and polysporin the one with vitamin E to help with the itchiness and to prevent scars.  Two times a day.  Leave your skin alone and do not lift your eyebrows b/c that can push the infection deeper. Don't pop any either b/c I have found from popping them other zits would form.  To get rid of those tiny zits, I went to the doctor and he prescribed me Stievamycin (it pushes out the stuff and exfoliates your skin) same as Retin A.  That has been working on the those tiny pimples.   That's what I found.  It's been 3 months, and I'm slowly getting it under control. But it has been so emotionally and physically painful.

I hope this helps. I am always stressed when I look in the mirror, and I'm 27! This is really a bad thing to happen at 27 b/c my skin won't heal as fast.  Let your doctor know that your acne is itching.

For an antibacterial wash, use anything that has this active ingredient: Triclosan.  Do not use the Benzoyle Peroxide Antibacterial wash b/c it was aggravate your condition.

I just recently bought Noxema Anti Bacterial Face Wash and after washing my face. It feels so soothing and less itchy.
