adderall and acne

Please someone help me. My doctor prescribed me Adderall (adderrall) a couple months ago and it has greatly changed my life for the better until now. I have horrible cystic acne on my shoulders that is now on my chest and starting on my face. What kind of medicine do I need to get from a dermatologist to clear this up so I can continue taking my medicine.

Hi. I'm glad Adderall (adderrall) is helpful for you. Acne is not a common side effect of this drug, so your doctor may wish to do some hormonal checks to rule out another underlying cause.
There are many solutions for acne:
i) Topical antibiotics like Dalacin-T (clindamycin)
ii) Topical retinoids like Retin-a (tretinoin) or Differin (adapalene)
iii) Anti-androgen contraceptive pills such as Yasmin or Yaz
iv) Oral antibiotics (tell your prescriber you are taking Aderall so he can prescribe one which won't interact).
