alopecia universalis

hi, i am born with alopecia universalis. see little bit hair growth not much, the hair is thin, small.
what about EMU OIL and HOMEPATHY will that be any good

Hi. You may wish to repost this in the dermatology forum since my expertise are in the treatment of acneic skin.
The standard treatment for Alopecia Universalis is Topical Immunotherapy, which results in hair growth on the scalp within 6 months for about 40% of patients. I have found litttle evidence that Homepathy or Aromatherapy works, and would be skepital of websites claiming otherwise.
My hair fell out when I suffered with Anorexia. I wore wigs and had hair extensions and they looked really good. I still wear wigs and extensions sometimes, even though my hair has grown back.
I hope you find something to help your condition. As with acne patients, confidence and good self-esteem are very important.
