See your doctor for a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline 250mg twice daily. These will kill acne-causing bacteria on the skin. You may need to take them for at least 8 weeks to see an improvement, so be patient.
To speed up healing time a topical acne treatment can also be used. If acne covers a large area gels may be uneconomical. Clinique make a spray which can be used on the back and/or chest.
