benzaclin and differin

Hello,

I have been using benzaclin and differin for a few years now but would love to know the fundamental differences. In other words, is it better to apply benzaclin to existing pimples and then differin to spots on your skin which are currently acne free ? What does each work to prevent etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Differin contains 1% adapalene, a retinoid-like medicine which works against the abnormal processes of the skin invloved in acne.
It should be applied to a clean face, once a day at bedtime. If you warrant treatment with another topical acne treatment this must be used in the morning, and the Differin at night.
