blackhead treatment

by cpo2, May 08, 2009 03:37PM
Hello. I have blackheads all over my nose... I've tried using neutrogena blackhead scrub and an astringent, but so far there has been no improvement the past two months. Is there any recommended over the counter medication or treatments I can use? I want to hold off going to the dermatologist if I can...thanks.

I work for a dermatologist and I've found that using products that contain both salicylic acid and glycolic acid combined work the best.  Theses are nearly impossible to find over the counter, however.  DCL makes a really nice "alpha beta acne gel" that I use daily.  But be careful not to scrub/exfoliate more than 1-2times/week!
