cold sore or in grown zit

I have a bump on my lip it kindof tingles and it looked like an ingrown zit. But when I went on a website it said that cold sores tingle. I have never had one before. It looks nothing like a coldsore. It was just a bump on my lip that look as if it was a zit under the skin. It did not ooze or burst. I am just concerned thats all. Please help. By the way the size is like a grain of sand.
