Until I stopped, another dernatologist recommend me to use tretoin, Now Iam using it at 0,05% but I still having brake outs, I am on my 6 week of using it. I want to now if this cortocoesteriod acne has a cure, how much??? Pleasee helpp meeeeeeeee!!!

Hi. Topical/oral steroids are useful for treating severe allergic reactions. But they should only be used for a week (and topical steroids should be applied sparingly not in large quantities) as they can cause thinning skin and acne.
How are you getting on with the tretinoin? If you suffer from contact dermatitis, a newer retinoid called Differin may be gentler and more effective. Discuss other acne treatments with your doctor such as a course of oral antibotics and/or an anti-androgen contraceptive pill such as Diane35 or Yasmin. These can be used in conjunction with a topical retinoid and we would expect to see a clinical improvement in your skin condition after 8 weeks, and further improvement with continued use.
Eloise.
