you must wait 6 months after coming of accutane before having microdermabrasion because accutane affects the way your skin heals and you may get irritation and scarring. Accutane may increase pigmentation and make your face redder, making acne scarring look worse. This is only temporary and hopefully by the time the 6 months is up your pigmentation and scars will have faded on their own. Love loiloi xx
ok....the person who did my peel told me i can do microdermabrassion so wut do i do i mean i did a chemical peel and nuthing bad hapened to my skin so i think the whole waiting period is a big exaggeration and im fed up what should i do?
From a personal point of view i totally understand that you're fed up waiting, i've had skin problems for twenty years despite using accutane twice. From a healthcare point of view i'm also going to give you the boring sensible answer: The official advice from Roche (makers of Accutane) is that you should not have any laser treatment or microdermabrasion for 6 months after taking accutane as there is a risk of permanent scarring. Accutane has a long half-life which means the amount in your system decreases very gradually until there are only minute amounts left. This is why it keeps working after you stop taking it, and also why you may experience side effects such as skin sensitivity after you stop taking it. If anyone has had this procedure please add to this post. Good luck, love loiloi xx
