do i have hyperpigmentation?

hello guys, i have red spots on my face left from a bad break out.. it's been there for about 2 months. it's red, not brown, is this still considered hyperpigmentation? will it get better if i use fading gels for hyperpigmentation or will it get worse? please help! thank you!
