dry skin turns fungal

I will get dry skin that cracks and then starts getting really bad itchy bumps then start oozing clear fluid. This will also happen if I get a small scrape o if I get burnt. It started about 3 years ago and is concentrated mostly on my hands and arms. Antibiotics and antifungal work but not very well. It will fell better if it is covered with medicine on it.  Eczema medicine doesn’t work. It takes months to get rid of.

Hi there!

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms or suggest a specific therapy. Possibilities that may need to be considered include infections (primary or superimposed over a primary condition), inflammations, xeroderma, a few autoimmune skin conditions, allergies, eczema etc. It would be best to have this evaluated by a dermatologist or a primary care physician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
