erythromycin benzoyl peroxide

I have been using this medication since June.. Its now August, There is alot of improvement, but I still get break outs, Is there any tips I should be aware of. For example applying the medicine correctly. or any other tips useful that will help me have a clear skin. Thank you very much!

Hi. Erythromycin can be very effective, especially when combined with benzoyl peroxide. However, acne responds very slowly to antibiotics so be patient. Your skin should be clear after about 12 weeks, if not ask your doctor to review your treatment plan. It is better to persevere with one antibiotic for 12 weeks rather than give up too soon and try another one.
