five months of accutane

I have been on accutane for five months now and i am still breaking out..about a month ago i was given ten pills of prednisone which helped 100% but after the pills ran out about five days later I was back to breaking out.  I finish my course in about a week and I have had no results and am very discouraged. is there any hope?

Prednisone will help inflammatory skin conditions in the short term, but is not suitable for the long term treatment of acne. Taken in the long term, Prednisone can make non-inflammatory acne worse and will cause thinning of the skin.
Don't give up on the Accutane, it is your best hope of a long term remission from acne. It virtually always results in excellent skin clearance after one course lasting 16 to 24 weeks. Occassionally, patients require a second course. Your dermatologist is likely to leave an 8 week break inbetween the first and second course.
