thankyou
Hi. Roaccutane (as it is called in the UK) should be taken for between 16 and 24 weeks. It depends on where in the country you live but I was phoned by the hospital to arrange an appointment after 6 weeks. I was then seen quickly because I agreed that medical students could sit in on my appontment.
I don't know how much private treatment costs but will look into it for you.
Eloise.
Hi I just wanted to post a big thanx to you....all the information you have given me it is very helpful and i am now looking into the options options.Im sure once i start i will have loads of questions so its grate to know there is somone who will answer my quieries.
No problem. I would definately stay on the NHS waiting list if you go private. I had to take 2 courses of Roaccutane to get a remission from acne (most people only need one) so it is wise to have a back up plan. The second time I took Roaccutane I was under the care of a Nurse-led team. I only saw the consultant dermatologist at the beginning and the end, and saw a Nurse Practioner for my regularRegular insulin check-ups. This reduced the waiting time. I see you live in London and am sure the hospitals near you are even more efficient than here (Bristol).
I wrote a Roaccutane journal and posted pictures of the results. Check out my profile.
