mild forehead acne

by mset68, Feb 11, 2008 11:19PM
hello i am a 39 year old male with mild acne on my forehead that consists of a lot of small bumps and an occasional pimple every week or so.

my doctor prescribed retin a micro which is really smoothing out my skin.

my question is, after the retin a micro has cleared up my acne and loosened all the stuff in my clogged pores, can i switch to an over the counter benzoyl peroxide gel for maintenance?

thanks

mark

Yes I would continue with an acne gel after this treatment to prevent acne from returning. As you are 39 it is likely you will be prone to acne for sometime and not outgrow it. A good over the counter product for you would be Freederm which contains an anti-inflammatory ingredient to stop those little bumps becoming inflamed and turning into pimples. Loiloi xx
