my boyfriend has horrible acne

my boyfriends acne isnt getting better at all, it will clear up for a week or 2 then get worse. what can we do to help it go away?

If washing your face isnt enough, then he need something stronger. He should really goto a dermetologist, but if he cant or wont, I say use ProActiv. It works great and may not heal his acne all the way, but it will help

Washing alone will not clear your boyfriend's acne. Store-bought products are of limited benefit and he should get prescription medicine. He may not have to see a dermatologist, your regular doctor can prescribe all but the strongest acne treatments.
He should ask his doctor for a course of oral antibiotics to kill acne-causing bacteria on the skin (eg Oxytetracycline 250mg twice daily) and a topical synthetic retinoid such as Differin (adapalene) gel.
