Hi after my last post... i decided to push forward with my GP and insist to be refered to the DERM for my acne....ive had mild acne since around 14 but since 17 it got worse as my skin became very very oily by 18 i was having frequent break outs and now at 19 up untill last month had the same problem........i would describe the acne as being moderate over the past yr and persistant. My GP orginaly was very un helpful since she thought my acne wasnt bad enough to be referd,Despite already trying tetracyclineTetracycline Tetracycline hydrochloride Tetracycline topical and the pill(pill im sure made my skin worse) the Derm I finaly got to visit and she was slightyly hesitant about putting me on acutane since i was wearing makeup however when i showed her pics of how its been and took off my make up she agree to put me on accutane however now im worried that my DOSE it too low for a long term remission im 58kg and ive been taking 30mg a day for the past month continuing into this 2nd month........my skin has improved grately with very littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys oilyness and for once it feels normalNormal saline flush....(i till get pimples less frequent but is this normalNormal saline flush since im on the med thats supose to stop this) now im worried that since shes not increasing the dosage into my 2nd MONTH will i still get the restult that will last or do i need 2 bee put on a higher dosage to get long term remission
I just began Accutane. I weigh 120 lbs, I think thats aroung 54kg. I'm taking 60 mg a day, 40 in the morning and 20 at night. I think this is a little high for me since I'm only just starting the treatment. But as you continue with Accutane the doseage is suppose to increase. You should discuss this with your dermatologist, maybe they have a good reason.
