post redness after accutane??

hi i have a serious question about my skin.. I finished a 5 month course of accutane 2 months ago and im clear of my cystic acne but the only problem is that theres the redness thats left behind the healed acne and its super bad. My skin still looks like i have cystic acne due to the redness. My derm said that 2 weeks after my accutane course that all the redness would clear 100%. Well its been 2 months and i havnt seen any improvement.. Ever since the 2 weeks after my course ive been using an OTC anti redness medication for my skin but havnt seen any improvement at all. The derm said that people dont usually do anything to their skin after the course and that the redness will go away. You think the medication im using could counter the effects of accutane? That since im using a topical medication that its preventing my skin from clearing?? should i try stop the otc medication??

Hi. Most side effects disappear within 5 weeks of stopping Accutane. This is because Accutane has a long half life and will take 5 weeks to be out of your system.
