red,burning,itching acne

my face is really red and burns like a sunburn, its bumpy and white flakey things like its really dry, but i lotion it all the time. someone told me to try baby lotion because it has less chemicals, i did and right after my face got really hot and red and burned, does this mean im allergic to it. i also am doing the apple cider viniger by one teaspoon a day could i be allergic to this? i dont have no idea what is causing my skin to feel like a really bad sunburn but it hurts,

Acne vulgaris shouldn't itch so i think you are having a reaction, most likely to the apple cider vinegar. Stop using this, and use a gentle cleanser like Eucerin or Lutsine until the reaction calms down. Just because something is natural it does not mean it will work, nor that you won't get a reaction to it. The best over the counter product for acne is Freederm, which contains active ingredients to calm inflamation (inflammation). Better still, see your doctor for prescription acne remedies. Oral treatments such as oxytetracycline might be better for you than topical preparations if you have sensitive skin. Loiloi x

Loiloi mentions freederm, and I'm not familiar with that, but I am with Cetaphil, which is very sensitive, or Olay Sensitive, which, surprisingly to me, is lighter than Cetaphil and not to emollient. Let us know!
