Still sounds like sensitivity or even allergy to the sun, or at least a prickly heat sensitivity.

I have something similar, so I have to avoid excessive sun exposure.  Besides, I simply burn too easily as well.

It sounds like you should supplement your vitamin D because of this issue.  The Vitamin D Council suggests between 2,000 iu to 5,000 IU of vitamin D daily for most healthy adults.

Because you are likely sensitive to the sun, you should definitely monitor your vitamin D levels.

There could be other causes for this, too...

You should definitely be tested for auto immune issues.  The one that comes to mind is Lupus, because Lupus is known to cause the skin reaction you're talking about.  There are other auto immune issues that can do this, too, but usually the same initial tests for auto immune issues are the ones that are used.

If you have an auto immune issue, this would help to explain why an antihistamine is insufficient for resolving the issues.

I used to get these after several days in the sun.  I couldn't tell if it was the sun itself or the sun screen.  Are you getting it right away or does it take a few days of sunbathing for these bumps to show up?
