redness around nose

Hi i am 17 and for almost a year now i have had redness around my nose.  I never had this problem until one morning i awoke from a party at my friends and my face was red.  But it has progressively gotten worse. however, lately it has been better, and it has been very controllable.  Unfortunately, i woke up yesterday and it is almost the worst it has ever been.  It has been 2 days and it looks the same, bright red, dry, and it even stings when it gets this bad.  It makes me so embarrased and i can barely even keep my head up in the halls of my school. please help asap.
