scarring after accutane treatment

by meg630, Mar 20, 2009 01:30PM
After a six month treatment of accutant, I find I have mild scarring and was wondering what comes next.  I was told it could take up to 4-5 months to feel the full effect of the accutane healing and that I should wait approximately six months before considering microdermabrasion, etc.  What do you think?

The reason you can't have microdermabrasion for 6 months after Accutane is because of the increased risk of scarring. Your skin will remain fragilised for up to 6 months during which time you should not have any cosmetic procedure done.
