scars

i am only 14 years old... and i had a big problem with acne since i was 4.. now pimples have nearly gone bt i can see redness and small scars on my face.... is there anything i can do for my scars?=/ i feel very ugly and i don't want to go out from home.... what can i do for scars treatment?

Hi.
Ask your doctor for a gel called Retin-a (tretinoin). This will clear both active acne and post-acne scarring. It can cause a bit of skin irritation at first so use a bland cleanser such as La Roche-Posay or Cetaphil during treatment.
Your doctor may also prescribe a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline 250mg twice a day to kill acne-causing bacteria on the skin.
