hi i am a sixteen years old and i have had a uncontrollable itch on the front of my legs for years but it is getting progressively worse i will itch till blood and sores have formed i cant stop it hurts really bad
Itching also known as pruritis, is a symptom of a wide variety of mild to serious conditions. It can result from dry skin, infection, inflammation, allergy, insect bites, fungal infection, dermatitis, allergies, hives, scabies or liver diseases causing jaundice; while only a few of these respond to anti-pruritic creams. I would suggest consulting a primary care physician or a dermatologist for an evaluation. After a cause is diagnosed, it can be managed accordingly.
Hope this is helpful.
