sores under arms

I was diagnosed finally with Herpes type 2.  I have been on Valtrex for 6 months now.  It has cleared up most of my sores between my legs.  But I still get large red sores in my arm pits.  My sister has dealt with these same red sores that sometimes have puss in them.  Which mine do too. Is this part of the Herpes?  I have been to dermatologists who said just lose weight and they will go away.  My sister is a size 8 and she has had them for 15 years.  I have had them for 4 years and I am a size 14.  Please give me some advice or maybe help me find a doctor who can help solve this painful issue.
