i recently found out from yesturday that i have acne in my ear. i dont no wen its gonna go away so i need to no wat kind of treatment sould i do and how long its going to take for it to go away. thnx

Do you also have acne on the rest of your face?  The usual treatment for acne is a topical gel containing an acne-fighting ingredient (clindamycin, nicotinamide, erythromycin, adapalene, tretinoin etc). However, these are safe to apply to the face, chest and back not inside the ear. You may require oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline 250mg twice daily, if you have moderately severe acne.
Most people outgrow their acne in their early 20s. The length of time you will have to use oral antibiotics and/or topical retinoids for depends on how quickly you respond to the treatment. We would expect to see some clinical improvement after 4-8 weeks and further improvement with continued use.
