topical acne meds & chemical peels together?

Hi!  I'm in my 30's and I have adult acne.  I recently started chemical peels with Jessner's peel (salycilic acid, lactic acid & resorcinol).  I like the results and would like to do a series of 4 o 6 peels.  

My doctor recently prescribed me a gel with erythromycin 3% and benzoyl peroxide 5%. Is it okay to use these in conjunction with the peel?  I understand it may not be good to use them while the the skin is peeling and very sensitive but what about before and after the peel - which typically takes 2-3 days to peel?
