treatment advice

I used to maintain a strict regimen with cleansing followed by benzoyl peroxide (Duac) daily. My face wasn't perfect, but it was acceptable. Of course the Duac prescription eventually ran out, and i had to use Differin. Still, my acne kind of stayed level at a not-perfect but not that bad stage. After about two months of using the Differin, i got my renewed Duac in the mail, and promptly began to return to my old regimen. At this point i got really broken up. I began to get pimples on the sides of my nose, and a bunch of small bumps on the sides of my face. I kept up with this for about a week and half and saw things just getting worse, so i quit with the duac and went back to just differin. Now i've switched over to Mario Badescu products with using differin as a spot treatment, and i see a little improvement but not much. In your opinion, should i continue to use the Mario Badescu with differin, or go back and try the Duac again.............. any other tips or ideas are greatly appreciated.

It is not unusual for your skin to "purge" (breakout) when starting a new skincare regime. Differin has been found to be one of the most effective topical treaments especially when combined with oral treatments such as antibiotics or the contraceptive pill if you are female.
