treatment of cystic acne vulgaris

i;m 4th year medical student. suffering from cystic acne vulgaris .i;m having now 1-dapsone 2=doxycyclin   after having  cource of flagyl      and trimethprime

Hi,
If you're a female you should try birth control. Otherwise talk to a dermatologist about DIFFERIN (Adapelene).I used to have cystic acne on my chin and would break out right before my period. The dermatologist put me on birth control and differin. I've taken the birth control for 2 months and then stopped but I'm still using differin (4 months now) and I didn't get a single cyst on my chin! (in other words, it works!) Good luck.
PS: with differin, it gets a lot worse before it gets better.
