Hi. Acne on the chinChin augmentation Chin augmentation - series is often hormonal in cause. Rule out pregnancy, then ask your doctor about the benefits of the combined oral contraceptive pill. The oestrogen it contains blocks the actions of androgens (hormones responsible for acne). Avoid the hormonal IUD, injection and mini-pill which can make acne worse.
Your doctor can also prescribe a topical acne gel such as Differin or Duac gel, which are much more effective than store-bought lotions.
You're right about not squeezing spots, this spreads bacteria under the skin causing more spots in the same place and could lead to permanent scarring.
Eloise.
