Holistic cures

So I have a 4.7 cm COMPLEX cyst on my left ovary and after months of monitoring it my Dr now feels the cyst should be removed. I am absolutle terrified bc his procedure is not the most inovative, and I do not have children and want some in the near future. The other thing is that I have to be okay with losing my ovary too. I just don't feel right about this and was hoping I could take a chance with holistic medicine. My husband is concerned bc he is a skeptic but I am willing to give anything a shot before I lose an ovary. So I was going to give acupuncture and chinese herbal medicines a shot. What do you think about this and have you heard of any success stories??? I've been searching and have found nothing so far.....):

I have never treated complex cysts, only functional cysts.  We have used the patient's scheduled ultrasounds (every 3-6 months) to track our progress.  You could certainly give Chinese medicine a try, but work with your M.D. and L.Ac. to give yourself a time parameter and what tests/imaging you can use to see if is effective.  If no progress has been made in that agreed-upon time frame, then take heart:  plenty of women conceive with one ovary.
