Suboxone / Subotex

The doc was kind enough to give me a script to 120 of the generic 'subotex' as the suboxone has no generic yet. What is the difference? I can't afford the $400 yet to fill the script so I am buying weekly Suboxone from the doc office (at $8 apiece!) until I can fill my script. But can anyone explain the difference bewteen the two? I know the suboxone also has that drug that throws you into withdrawals if it is mainlined,. but I would never do that. Never have used a needle and not about to start now with this nasty sub stuff.

I DO want people to know that suboxone (day 7 now) has made me feel like a kid again. My senses are better,. taste,. emotions,.. I just feel good naturally. So for those that wants to know how good it feels to be 'normal' again,. give it a try!

Sounds very similar to the 'cutting' habit? Physical pain to replace mental pain?

I would get pissed not getting the rush though,.

But I am the same way with snorting. Luckily,. I haven't for a while now. I was just snorting sh*t to snort. Like my Subs. Nose getting all clogged up. No buzz effect.

All it did was make me yearn for them puuuuuure 30's that melted like candy and actually DID something when you snorted a small amount. Gaawd,. that IS a wonderful drug. A lovely high. I am fighting the urge to go back. Must remember the downside. The pain and anxiety of worrying how I am going to stay well till my next doc appointment, etc.

I hate that. I just gotta keep remembering about that,.. the bad side.

And let me add. I have been a few days with NO needle!!! I still crave it but I am getting over it... I THINK.... Lol No I am getting over it. My hubby found my last needle and broke it. I could go buy more but then I would be right back at square one. Not somewhere I want to be or hell need to be. I am gonna get past this. I just like to stick the needle in my arm every time things don't go the way I feel they should. Mind over matter!!!!!

I know all to well how much money it takes to get the Sub's. That is about the same price here in WV. ***** it has to cost so much to get clean. 21 days off Sub's and although I still have NO energy I am making it day by day! That's all I can do huh.... Hope you are well. If you need to talk I am always here!!!
Best Wishes

Sorry,. the line where I said "I'm stuck buying them from the dealer,.. I mean doc,. (same thing) daily at $8 a day",.. I meant $8 a PILL,.. not a day.

Thank you for answering. Well,.. if I can get the money together (got laid off just after starting the 'program') for the script,. I was going to use the 120 pills of generic Subutex to 'wean off' as I heard cold turkey is bad on Subs if your dosing high.

I'm at 24 mils a day right now,. having to get up to 32 mils a day to keep the opiate withdrawals at bay my first week off of them. The doc gave me the script at 32 mils a day for a 30 days,. but I'm already down to 24 a day and haven't even gotten the script filled yet. I'm stuck buying them from the dealer,.. I mean doc,. (same thing) daily at $8 a day as I have no idea where my script money is going to come from. I have no idea where tomorrows dose is going to come from!! With no job,. I am scared to death knowing that the withdrawals are just around the corner once everything that I own is pawned. And I have already pawned every thing worth value,. and am struggling just to stay well until a miracle comes along so that I can get the script and start my self induced weaning off program. I'm going down to 16 mils a day starting today to try and stretch out the meds to keep from getting sick.

And as far as the subs,. I find the feeling that I get from them is similar to doing too many over the counter meds (like Nyquil, cold meds, etc). Not a 'high' at all. But it does stop the sickness and gives me major energy!!! I tried snorting them as that is MY 'addiction',. my 'thing',. (I was snorting 15 to 20 blues a day until the Sub program). So I know what you mean about the habit of sticking the needle in your arm. This affliction is almost harder to kick then the drugs themselves! I found myself snorting the Subs,.. just for the act of snorting something. But realizing that it does absolutely NOTHING at all for me,. I have finally stopped that also after like the 4th day.

Thank you very much for your reply. I appreciate it. Good luck with all you do.

I am 11 days off of Suboxone and you think you feel good now just wait til you are off it!!!! It is the best! I jumped off at 2mg and the WD's were NOTHING like I was told they would be. So the difference between Suboxone and Subutex .Suboxone contains a second medication – naloxone – that is added to the formulation to keep people from abusing the medication. Coming from a person who uses the needle I can say from experience that it does NOT send you into WD's if shot up. It will however send you into WD's if you shoot up shortly after doing an opiate. I am by no means telling you to try shooting up just letting you know that it doesn't cause WD's when shot. I shot up Suboxone everyday and though I am not happy about that I am working on getting over the habit of having to stick a needle in my arm. I swear that has been harder to stop than the Suboxone. Best wishes to you! How long you gonna be on Sub's?
