I would just recommend tapering. I definatly would not switch to the Loratab. I had a friend who was on both and had a couple seizures. Mixing the two of them can cause seizures. It is not a common side effect, but I have known two people that have been taking both and had a grand mal seizure. You don't want to do that. And I at one point was taking just tramadol and they are A LOT easier to come off than and Opoid. I am just today trying to get off Vicodin and I am scared to death of the withdrawls. I am already feeling small ones and it has only been about 12 hours. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

The lowest dose is 50mg. atleast at the pharmacy i work at. get down to that and start cutting it in half. then you should be able to go off a little easier.
Good luck and good job so far!!!

What does it do to you. I often hear of trammies, my doctor gives them to me and I don't even use them. Am I missing something? No I am on suboxone, tapering off the stuff finally, but they didn't do anything for me.

yes, hello and welcome! do not use one opoid to detox from another. lortab will make things worse. you can make the decision whether or not you really want to be free of this burden by either tapering down. there are people in the forum who are particularly good at this. or you can put off the inevitable and just stop. it will be uncomfortable for a week or so of your life, then you can find a support system for aftercare that will help you deal with the disease of addiction and hopefully what led you there. how to stay clean. it is a long hard road that is ongoing daily but it is worth every minute. there is no magic pill, it takes a good deal of intent and work. good luck and keep posting.
