Anyone else speak the language?

by kim715, Jul 04, 2008 12:12AM
I saw a post on the other side and it occured to me that as addicts we learned to speak our own language.Vicodin was my DOC,but when I was looking for them from a dealer or asking about them we never referred to them as vicodin or even pills for that matter. They were always referred to as nuggets, biscuits or coffins.Nuggets were the 5 mg generic, biscuits were the 7.5 mg. generic, and coffins were the 10 mg vicodin.I have also heard methodone being referred to as wafers. The person who posted on the other side had seen a text message on her bf's phone and was trying to de-code it.Anyone else speak the language?Peace.

it is crazy all the lingo that is out there...It remeinded me of that commercial where the mother starts to ask her son if he had ever tried (she mentioned about 50 names) and she was going faster and faster..skittles,mars bars (xanax) whipps,oranges..robotrip..

The only real lingo that I had was for pot..and then the dealer that i got my extra's from sold "sets"...

How are you tonight ? I am on a total coffee buzzzzzzzz..lol  I need to find a forum for that..

Hey,you type too fast.I just responded to you on the other side.LOL  I'm ok,on my third cup of coffee myself.I thought a post like this might help to educate people outside the 'circle'[non-addicts] who don't speak the language, learn some of the lingo so they  couldn't be so easily deceived.Especially if they suspect someone is abusing drugs.

by kim715, Jul 04, 2008 12:47AM
Geez Lisa, you scared me for a second.I'm thinking how in the world do you know all of this?LOL...I didn't know a site like that existed but it's good to know and your right people should be aware especially those of us who have kids.

by sadinmichigan, Jul 04, 2008 01:03AM

I have never even heard of some of these drugs and didn't know that they did ALL that with them..

by kim715, Jul 04, 2008 01:12AM
I couldn't believe that 'octane' meant PCP mixed with gasoline.OMG!!!!!

by sadinmichigan, Jul 04, 2008 01:25AM
you should check out the letter A on that site...CRAZY...who names these things anyway??

by kim715, Jul 04, 2008 01:45AM
I suppose addicts give most of the drugs their 'street names.'When we're in the throws of addiction our brains are in such a fog it's no wonder there are some CRAZY labels being assigned.I can remember being at a picnic once and a friend of mines brother telling some guy how he had some really good 'fish gills' and the guy asked him how much?I'm thinking to myself WTF why would someone want to buy fish gills?I thought maybe the guy was a fisher and you could use fish gills for bait. Here he was talking about cocaine, boy did I feel stupid.

when i 1st started using oxys, they were referred to as "old ladies", short old lady was a small mg (5, 10, 15), tall old lady was large mg (30, 40, 80).. it's funny now, when i'm watching TV and theres something said about an old lady, it's 1st thing on my mind..  i hate being an addict!!        --jesse

ps.  if we had alot, we would say there's an old lady parade..

by SOCAL742, Jul 04, 2008 10:43AM
We sometimes smoked the oc's and last night we saw a commercial for aluminum foil and both looked at eachother and knew the first thing that came into eachothers mind!We called the oc's footballs, big boys were the 80's. ya and bars for xani's
